There are times when I just can’t face a supermarket or a restaurant with my kids. Late in the day, if they’re cranky, and I’m cranky because they’re cranky and we’re all hungry – I know that if I dare to un-strap them and let them loose in a big place, it will not be a pretty scene. Today, I found that there’s a new convenience store in Hollywood that is a quick and easy stop. Locali is small and manageable and has many healthy snacks to choose from. So, even if your kids start grabbing little bags of things off the counter haphazardly ripping them open  (although I know your kids would never behave that way) chances are, they will find something organic and nutritious! Locali has a big selection of ready made health food meals for any “grab and go” occasion, including some adorable pre-packed lunches made by Fresh Lunches, kits for kids. They also have some delicious ginger fruit smoothies for a quick pick me up, organic coffees, and many quick snacks. You will find nothing on their shelves containing high fructose corn syrups, no refined sugar. (Don’t mention that to the kids.) So pull over and have a healthy snack. Conveniently clear your cranky car full of kids …and your conscience.
